Overhead Crane

An overhead crane, also known as a bridge crane, is a type of crane that runs on an elevated track, allowing it to move heavy loads horizontally along the track. The crane is comprised of a bridge that spans across two or more supports and a trolley that travels along the bridge, carrying a hoist that lifts and lowers the load. Overhead cranes are commonly used in industrial settings for material handling, manufacturing, and construction. They are designed to improve efficiency and safety by allowing operators to easily move heavy loads without manual labor.

They also come in handy when there are limited spaces for forklift to be operating, as the cranes are installed on running beam structures. Danitek is able to supply cranes from as small as 250 KG to overhead cranes as big as 10 Ton.

In the current 21st century, PLC can also be installed into monorail cranes to control the movement and lifting mechanism of the crane through automation. With the use of PLC control systems, monorail cranes can be operated through automation to reduce reliability on manpower for your production. By doing so, we can help our client improve efficiency of the production or manufacturing process through automation.
